URL Nerds is a web design studio based in Sarasota, Florida. We design and build custom websites for small businesses, and we manage those sites on an ongoing basis through monthly care plans. We do not use templates or website builders. Every project is built from scratch in clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

We are based in Sarasota, Florida, but we work with clients nationwide. Location has no bearing on what we can deliver. Most client communication happens over text, email, or a short call.

No. We build every site by hand using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No templates, no page builders, no third-party platforms. This gives us full control over performance, SEO, and design — and means your site is not dependent on any external platform. If Wix raises prices or changes its terms, that is not your problem.

We offer web design and development, brand identity and logo design, UX and UI design, technical SEO and performance optimization, website maintenance and support, and hosting and domain management. Everything is available as a standalone project or as part of an ongoing care plan.

Yes. If your current site is outdated, slow, or built on a platform you want to leave, we can rebuild it from scratch. We review what you have, preserve anything worth keeping, and deliver something better.

Yes. We can build e-commerce functionality into a custom site. For most small businesses, this means a clean product catalog and a payment integration — without the overhead of a full e-commerce platform. Get in touch and tell us what you need.

Sites are built in hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and deployed to Cloudflare Pages via GitHub. This stack loads fast, scores well in Lighthouse, requires no server-side runtime, and costs very little to host. There are no CMS databases, no plugin ecosystems, and no moving parts that break on updates.

Yes. We design logos, define color palettes and typography, and produce brand guidelines. Files are delivered in SVG, PNG, and PDF — every format you will actually use. Branding work can be done as a standalone project or alongside a new website build.

Custom project pricing depends on scope. We do not publish a rate card for builds because every project is different. Tell us what you need and we will come back with a fixed quote. What we quote is what you pay — no hourly billing, no scope creep invoices.

Care plans are our ongoing monthly service. They cover hosting on Cloudflare's global CDN, SSL certificates, security monitoring, version-controlled backups, uptime monitoring, performance monitoring, technical SEO maintenance, monthly content updates, and support. Plans start at $50 per month and scale with what your site needs.

The entry plan includes hosting, SSL, security monitoring, version-controlled backups, uptime monitoring, performance monitoring, technical SEO, and 30 minutes of content updates per month. If you need more update time or additional services, higher plans are available and we can quote the difference.

No setup fees. No contracts. Care plans are month-to-month. Give us 30 days notice and you can cancel anytime, no questions asked. You keep everything we built.

Additional work — content updates, design changes, new pages, print materials, social graphics — is available at $75 per hour. If you regularly need more time, we can move you to a higher plan. There is no penalty for going over occasionally.

Yes. When you refer someone who signs up for a care plan, you get one full month of your plan free. There is no limit on referrals and no fine print.

We start with a conversation to understand your business, goals, and what you already have. From there we put together a written scope and a fixed price. Once you approve, we design and build. You review, we refine. When it is ready, we handle the launch and DNS transition. The whole process typically takes a few weeks, depending on scope and how quickly feedback comes in.

Timelines depend on scope and content readiness. A clean single-purpose site can be turned around in one to two weeks. Larger builds with multiple service pages, custom illustrations, and brand development take longer. We will give you a realistic timeline in the project scope before work begins.

For a new build: a clear idea of what your site needs to do, any existing brand assets (logo, colors, fonts), and any content you already have. We can help with everything that is missing — copywriting direction, photography recommendations, logo design.

For a care plan on an existing site: access to your current hosting setup and domain registrar. We handle the migration and transition.

However works for you. Most clients text or email. We respond quickly and keep things direct. No project management platforms, no ticket systems. If something needs a call, we schedule one.

We deploy sites to Cloudflare Pages, which serves files from Cloudflare's global edge network. This means fast load times from anywhere in the world, SSL included, and no server to maintain. Hosting is included in all care plans.

Yes. Every file we build belongs to you. Code, design files, domain — you have full access and can take everything with you if you ever leave. There is no lock-in and no ransom. We set up hosting infrastructure on your behalf, but the assets and access are yours.

You get 30 days notice from your next billing cycle. During that time you keep full service. When you leave, we hand over all files, repository access, and any credentials we hold for you. Nothing is withheld.

Yes. Because sites are plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files, they can be hosted anywhere that can serve static files — Netlify, Vercel, AWS S3, a traditional server. We will give you the files and point you in the right direction.

Fast. We build for Lighthouse performance scores above 90 on mobile. Sites are static HTML with no unnecessary JavaScript or CMS overhead, served from Cloudflare's edge with Brotli compression and aggressive caching. We track Core Web Vitals on every site we manage and address issues proactively.

Yes — technical SEO is included in all care plans and in every new build. This covers proper page titles and meta descriptions, structured data markup, sitemap configuration, robots.txt, Google Search Console setup, canonical tags, and page speed. Content SEO — keyword strategy, competitive research, ongoing content creation — is available as a separate service.

We set up everything Google needs to index and understand your site — Search Console, sitemaps, structured data, clean URLs, and proper meta tags. Whether you rank for competitive terms depends on content, domain age, backlinks, and consistency — things we can advise on but cannot guarantee. What we can guarantee is that the technical foundation will not hold you back.

Yes. We can set up Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and other tracking tools on your site. If you already have accounts, we connect them. If not, we create them under your ownership.
